Thomas Jackowski, JD

As General Counsel for the Valiant Wealth Family Office, Tom brings an established reputation for legal proficiency, business and private equity acumen, and philanthropic expertise. His role includes advising on client-related legal issues, providing advice on our firm’s private equity opportunities while offering guidance on businesses in our investor portfolio, and participating in business development.

Tom’s expertise stems from 20 years in private practice, where he represented a broad array of clients over a wide range of areas including commercial, employment and business litigation. In 2012 he became General Counsel of St. Gregory’s Retreat Centers and HarborView Medical, Inc. SGRC was sold in 2019 and HVM was merged with a Colorado-based OrthoBiologics start-up rebranded Regenexx. Tom became General Counsel of Regenexx and guided the company through its initial formation and organization. He was elected to the board of directors in 2017 and became chair in 2018. Tom is also cofounder and board chair of the Bridges of Iowa, Inc., a 501(c)(3).

Tom is licensed in all state and federal courts in Iowa and has appeared pro hoc vice in federal courts in Virginia, Florida and California. He is a member of the United States Supreme Court and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. Tom is also a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and its Corporate Counsel section. He received his Juris Doctorate in 1991.

He and his wife Julie of 20 years met in law school and have two daughters and two sons. They share a commitment to family, philanthropy and community involvement.
